As a homeschooling mom, I have lost count on the number o times I had to push and drag my kids to learn something that I deemed important for them to know. The truth is kids are always ready and open to learning, the most important thing for them is ‘How the learning takes place’. Parents and teachers need to learn to package their lessons in a language kids understand best, which is ‘Fun’ These Cool Educational Games For Kids’ are the best learning enhancers because they are ‘Fun’.
Literacy Fun Game
It helps kids to know object and letter recognition, words recognition and matching. It also helps kids practice thinking and hands-on skills, such as sorting and grouping, taking turns, and sharing. It is a great space for parent, child bonding time , however kids are able to play the game alone granting parents some time to focus on themselves and other responsibilities.
Here is a testimony from a verified purchaser ‘A great set of educational toy for our 4 year old! The flash cards are made with quality paper, not flimsy at all and they are double sided!! The words range from 3 to 5 letters. You can simply place the flash card on the stand and you can cover it as your child progresses. Comes with two sets of full alphabets, 2 As, 2Bs, etc. I sometimes “compete” with my daughter to see who find the word faster, this makes her attention span last longer 🙂 Would recommend to parents with young children, I try to stay away from tablets and laptops as much as I can. This set is a great way to learn about letters and words, hands-on style.’
Think Fun: Math Dice
It develops critical thinking skills. It provides a fun learning experience, where players learn early math skills through fun game play. It – Includes 1x 12-sided die, 5x 6-sided dice, scoring track, instructions, and a game-go bag for easy storage and clean-up For 2+ players aged 6+, it’s one of the best gifts for kids ages 6 and up and its small size makes it a great stocking stuffer.– Easy to learn with a clear, high quality instruction manual. You can start playing and solving right away. Math Dice Jr is hugely popular with parents and teachers, and serves as a great math game for young learners
Testimony from a verified purchaser ‘ Very simple and fun game. You roll the two white dice and multiply the numbers together to get your “target” number. Then you roll the three blue dice, and the player to come up with the “math sentence” that has an answer closest to the target number wins the round. You can add, subtract, multiply, divide, group the numbers, and use exponents. I bought this as a summer activity to help my 5th grader work on memorizing math facts and perform mental math. Within minutes he was grouping, multiplying, dividing, and even using exponents (which he had never done before–learned it instantly!). Effective and fun way to boost math skills. He continued to play for over an hour by himself after we finished playing our first game!’
Educational Insight Brain Bolt
BrainBolt is the mind-melting light-up memory game. It challenges you to remember the light sequence and following along for as long as you can without breaking the pattern. Its fun when played with a friend challenging each other on who remembers most. It is a perfect on the go game.
BrainBolt is the perfect game for my son. He has an amazing memory and loves to challenge it! He loves the different levels of play with this game so he doesn’t get bored! Since it is so portable…we take it everywhere with us…on road trips, on the way to school, doctor’s office and even to the grocery store. I love that it is educational and it is helping grow his brain! It’s a fun game that keeps my 8 year old son really entertained!
Sentence Building
/The set teaches the use of capitalization, punctuation, and sentence structure in an engaging way It is about practicing to build proper sentences with familiar sight words and picture cards.
Testimony from a verified purchaser ‘Perfect for kids that skip a couple connecting words when talking and writing. This allows them to see and get hands on with the actual sentence they want to communicate and physically see the connecting words they might miss. Example, Please I have ice cream, when they use the sentence they correct to Please CAN I have SOME ice cream. Really helpful with speech delay in my opinion; not sure If that’s what it’s designed for. Seeing, pointing to words, sounding out and allowing the child to puzzle it together worked wonders. Within a couple weeks we could see a huge improvement.‘
Math Sprint
This is the kind of game that grows with the kids. Math Sprint enhance the child’s arithmetic abilities. Every game strengthens their knowledge and confidence. The game can be personalized and adjusted to the players skill.
Verified Purchaser’s testimony. We love this game for math fluency practice! We homeschool, but as a former third grade teacher it would’ve been great in the classroom as well.
Since it’s just my 7yo and I, we adapted with some house rules (as encouraged in the directions). For now she is playing with the addition/subtraction deck and I am playing with multiplication/division (she is learning multiplication and it is good for her to hear me solve them as well). Answering fluently ‘by heart’ advances the runner 2 spaces, while a correct answer that takes some thought/counting moves 1 space. An incorrect answer doesn’t advance, but we work together to come to the correct answer. She is not a fan of traditional fluency practice, nor the apps with timers, but she asks for this game!

This interactive, brain engaging game helps children learn about the continents, countries, and flags of the world as they explore the world. Verified Purchaser’s testimony – What a fun and low stress game for the whole family! This educational game teaches young and old all about the countries of the world. The boards and cards are bright and colorful and easy to understand. My 8 year old LOVED playing this game and left it out tonight so he can play again tomorrow morning. My 5 year old liked to match the country name on her card to the large continent cards. Perfect to practice her reading and budding geography skills. Absolutely buying a few more games to give to my children’s school for rainy day classroom activities and for gifts.
Sight Word Swat

‘The game was a brilliant idea! We’ve only played it twice (in one day, since it arrived today), and already my kids have increased their sight word knowledge! I have a 5yo and a 7yo who are close to the same reading level. I got this game because they’re both great at phonics but need some sight word practice. It’s doing just what I hoped’.
Bananagrams

‘This is a game for stretching your mind, encouraging creativity and I’m not actually at all bothered about winning or losing – just about the elegance of the challenge.Wonderful product, great quality, nice little ‘nana bag’.
The only downside is you do need quite a bit of space to lay out the tiles so you won’t be playing it on a plane or train.
Plugo Count
The game is suitable for kids 5 – 10 years of age.It is an AR-powered STEM gaming kit. It turns your device into a hands-on learning system and takes your kids through a series of story-based challenges that need to be solved with a combination of numbers and arithmetic operators.
‘This is a fantastic game to encourage children to practice maths whilst having fun and playing on their iPads. You download an app on your device. Make sure you check that it is compatible with your own device first. We have an iPhone 6 which it works with. Then you pop the device in the slot on the pad. It has lots of levels of maths games and as you progress through the game the levels get slightly harder. You have to figure out the maths problem and pop the correct numbered counter on the yellow holder. It recognises if you match correctly. My children are 7 and 10 years old and they have enjoyed playing the game’.

Final Thoughts
Fun Play remains the best but overlooked method of teaching and learning. Unfortunately most teachers and parents are still stuck at the sit still behind the table kind of learning. This kind of learning has proved itself to produce only temporary results. Check My Full Article On Learning Should’t Be Boring.
Very good reference for educational tools for the times. The Covid scare has brought about many challenges and this website addresses solutions for the parent and the child. The educational games that are brought to the table all have verified customers that have left comments on products which helps the reader to match certain products to the individual struggles of home schooling and I truly believe that this is becoming the classroom of the future.
Hey Paul
Thank you for stopping by The Incredible Boy.
It is true the classroom of the future is in our homes, we need to equip it as much as possible.
With all the disruptions in school in the past year, learning tools are more important than ever! My family had a game much like Brain Bolt and it was enjoyed by everyone, even the adults. I don’t remember who the game belonged to but it’s safe to say they had to share.
I like Continent Race because geography is important to know, hard to learn but fascinating once you get started! I would love to play with my grandkids to encourage them to see the world in a new way!
And Sight Word Swat? Seriously? What fun!!!!! I know a few boys who would LOVE THIS!
Hey Cynthia
