Final Thoughts

We need to prepare kids for the STEM Field, whatever it takes. STEM exposure in the early years can be a determining factor of the child’s interest and confidence in the the STEM field.

Even if the child is not interested in the STEM field Scientific, Technological, and Mathematical Knowledge is important even for ordinary citizens during this age and beyond.

As an advocate of Learning Through Play, I believe that the best way kids learn is when they are interested, fully engaged, and having fun. And this is exactly what the Piper Computer Kit provides, STEM lessons in a fun and an engaging way

  1. Hi, I agree totally with you that playing is one of the best way for our kids to learn new things and expand their knowledges. My daughter is about three and she is still young for the Piper computer kit, but I recommend to all parent that have a kid at least 8 years old. It is a great idea for the Christmas gift or season holiday. Our kids are so lucky, we didn’t have the opportunities that they have today about technology and not only.

thank you for this informative and helpful article. I suggest it to my friends.

  2. Very cool!

The Piper Computer Kits looks very fun and entertaining.  A lot easier than the model airplanes that I made using super glue.

Plus, with building a computer you can use it.  My model airplane just sat on the shelf.  (But it was cool).

All four of my children play Minecraft.  I won’t fib, I play it too.  Having Minecraft built into the Piper Computer is a great idea.  As you mentioned, the Piper Computer is a bit pricey, but I do see the value in the cost.

I like the product and the Piper Command Center.  Being able to assemble a real working game controller is icing on the cake.

I am thinking about picking one up for the holiday season.

  6. I have to agree that the Piper Computer Kit is an incredible invention in this this century. It is not only phenomenal but it comes with clear cut instructions which is very vital for my nine year old who is always fond of giving up at the appearance of slight difficulty. Although a bit pricey, its a must add to my Christmas shopping list.

  7. Hi there, I love the idea of teaching children to build their own computers. I have always said that our children will more technology by the age of 10 than we know now. This a great review of a product that I have never heard of until now. My grandson is a little young for this project at this time. However, I will be looking into this as he gets older

  8. This Piper Computer Kit is brilliant! I agree with you that the world is evolving into the digital era, the new generation shouldn’t be left behind! In my case, I’m looking to get this for my sister, as I find this as an alternative than watching youtube and help her lessen her screen time. After watching your youtube video on how to assemble, it seems quite challenging yet so much fun (I’m actually thinking to get one for myself too, who says adults can’t have some fun? haha!). This can also teach her some knowledge on coding as it is such a high demand now.

Thank you so much for providing such an in-depth review on the computer kit. I really do enjoy reading this and will be keeping a close eye on this one as it can replace my sister’s screen time as well as teach her this new skill that is in high demand in the present and even higher in the future.

    I do have some questions,
    1. As I’m new to this, may I know what is a STEM Field?
    2. I saw some parts needs a screwdriver, Is it provided in the kit?

Thank you for your time on my questions and I looking forward to your answers!

  9. I am excited and I’m the grown-up (LOL). When I first came across this Piper Computer Kit, I thought it was a simple thing to build. But going through your review I see that it actually has a blue print and there is certain complexity involved in the building. It will be a fun family experience.

  10. This is a very specific topic with a wealth of information. I am impressed. I’d add a few more do it yourself kits as well if you have the time. People like to explore. One thing: Your review star system would indicate you don’t like wht you have just spent paragraphs liking. Your showing basically one out of ten for all the categories– I think you mean to give it a higher rating than that. 10 is best. Continued good fortune!
